#3 Ithaca College runs through Mid-East Region

On Saturday and Sunday at the Athletics and Events Center at Ithaca College, the Bombers rolled through with 145.0 points as well as qualifying seven wrestlers for the NCAA tournament in Cleveland. Here are the wrestlers the Bombers will be sending to the big show in March:

 

Junior 125-pounder Ferdinand Mase

Mase lost 2-1 in the finals to Brockports tough #3 Jon Haas in the finals.

Sophomore 133-pounder Tito Colom (3rd)

Colom lost to #1 ranked Troy Stanich from Stevens Institute of Technology but wrestled back tough to beat James Goldschmidt from TCNJ 5-2.

#4 Sophomore 141-pounder Ben Brisman (2nd)

In a #3 vs #4 match up, Brisman lost to Kaliner from Stevens Institute of Technology 8-3.

#3 Senior 165-pounder Nick Velez (2nd)

Velez lost to unranked Thomas Poklikuha from Stevens Institute of Technology 6-4 in sudden victory after defeating #9 Alex Herringshaw from Oswego State in the Semi-finals.

#8 Senior 174-pounder Jaison White (2nd)

After defeating #9 Troy Seymour from Oswego State, White lost to #7 Daniel Kilroy by fall in 5:30.

#1 Junior 184-pounder Jake Ashcraft (1st)

Ashcraft recorded his 34 pin of the season in the finals after pinning Deuly Espinal from Cortland in 4:30 for the second time this season.

#2 Junior Hwt Jake O'Brien (2nd)

O’Brien lost to #3 Bethel form Oneonta by a mere 3-2 decision in yesterday's finals.

 

The Bombers roll squad deep to the Division 3 Nationals in Cleveland, Ohio on Friday, March 9th and Saturday, March 10th.
