2. Wantagh-8 (0-0)
3. Burnt Hills-2 (1-0)
4. Shenendehowa-2 (1-0)
5. Spencerport-5 (1-0)

Minisink Valley flexed their muscles by winning the Ballston Spa duals, outscoring their opponents 352-21. The Warriors are on pace to defend their NYS Dual Meet crown. Section 2 juggernauts Burnt Hills and Shenendehowa are both 1-0. Rounding out the top 5 is Spencerport, a 39-31 winner over Brockport. The Rangers battle D2 #17 Honeoye Falls-Lima this week.

6. Massapequa-8 (0-0)
7. Indian River-3 (1-0)
8. Hewlett-8 (0-0)
9. Long Beach-8 (0-0)
10. Niagara Falls-6 (5-0)

Section 8 claims 4 of the top 10 proving how deep Nassau County really is. #8 Hewlett battles Chaminade-C this week. The Flyers are coming off their tournament title at MacArthur Holiday Tournament. Indian River notched their first win as they took down the Beavers, 54-12. Niagara Falls has cracked the top 10 after winning the Starpoint Duals this past Saturday. Falls holds a 5-0 record with three of those wins coming over state ranked teams.

11. Fox Lane-1 (5-0)
12. Starpoint-6 (3-2)
13. Churchville Chili-5 (8-0)
14. Horseheads-4 (4-2)
15. Brentwood-11 (0-0)

Section 1's Fox Lane is creeping towards the top 10, a familiar position for the foxes and Coach Rodrigues. The S1 DMT kicks off this week with the defending champs as the top seed. Starpoint drops a few spots after losses to D1 #10 Niagara Falls and D2 #12 Newfane. The 8-0 Saints from Churchville-Chili won the Sweet Home Duals and currently sit at #13. Horseheads owns wins over D2 #4 Gouverneur and HM Penfield.

16. Fairport-5 (1-0)
17. Pittsford-5 (5-1)
18. Corning-4 (0-0)
19. Attica Batavia-5 (8-0)
20. Niagara Wheatfield-6 (0-0)

Fairport provided the biggest splash in week 1 by upending Pittsford 36-26, thus landing them at #16. With the addition of the Red Raiders in this week's rankings, that makes five teams from the Rochester area (Section 5). Pittsford was dominant this past weekend claiming the Pal Mac Duals Crown. Attica-Batavia captured 8 wins in two days to win the Southtown Duals and a spot at #19. Corning opens with Elmira this week, who upended previously ranked Vestal. The Falcons from Niagara Wheatfield wrestles North Tonawanda.

Shaker got on the board by narrowly defeating Bethlehem, 39-30. Lancaster finished runner-up at the Pal Mac Duals losing to #17 Pittsford. Section 11's Miller Place handled Newfield 69-6 and comes in at #25 this week.

Ballston Spa-2 (4-1)
Chenango Forks-4 (0-0)

Division 2

1. Tioga-4 (0-0)
2. Canisteo-Greenwood-5 (6-0)
3. Bolivar Richburg-5 (5-1)
4. Gouverneur-10 (3-3)
5. Peru-7 (0-0)

Tioga is at full strength now after wrapping up the Class D Football State title. The Tigers are in action this week versus Whitney Point. Canisteo-Greenwood won the Mark Stephens Classic this past weekend defeating #3 and #4 en route to the title. The Wolverines of Bolivar Richburg stormed onto the scene and are now ranked #3 after a 5-1 performance. Gouverneur drops to #4 after losing to both C-G and B-R.

6. Pleasantville-1 (0-0)
7. Edgemont-1 (4-1)
8. Saranac-7 (0-0)
9. Clarke-8 (0-0)
10. General Brown-3 (0-0)

Pleasantville, like Tioga, just finished their football season as well. Ten wrestlers play football for the panthers and now take the mat as the Section 1 Dual Meet tournament kicks off this week. The Panthers are the top seed and favorites to win it all. They are on a collision course with #7 Edgemont, who currently stands at 4-1. Saranac won the Nate Wood Memorial this past weekend, besting Noble (ME) by over 100 points. Clarke and General Brown both competed at individual tournaments this weekend. The Rams finished 8th at the Battle at the Beach while the Lions finished 5th at the Andersen.

11. BGAH-4 (0-0)
12. Newfane-6 (4-1)
13. Iroquois-6 (2-3)
14. Warrensburg-Bolton-2 (3-2)
15. Windsor-4 (1-0)

Newfane upended Iroquois at the Starpoint Duals and should be the favorites to claim the Section 6 D2 Dual Meet Title. The Panthers lone loss came to eventual champs, Niagara Falls in the finals, 42-24. Warrensburg-Bolton went 3-2 at the Ballston Spa Duals. Windsor got their first win of the year against Oneonta, 52-18. They wrestle Norwich this week.

16. Greene-Oxford-4 (0-0)
17. Honeoye Falls-Lima-5 (0-0)
18. Shoreham Wading River-11 (0-0)
19. Central Valley Academy-3 (0-0)
20. Cobleskill Richmondville-2 (0-0)

Ranks 16-20 have yet to compete in any duals. Greene-Oxford took 3rd at the Clyde Cole. HFL will battle D1 #5 Spencerport this week. SWR, CVA & CR are all in action this week and are favored to win their first dual of the season.

22. South Jeff-Sandy Creek-3 (0-0)
23. Homer-3 (0-0)
24. Hornell-5 (3-2)
25. Palmyra Macedon-5 (3-3)

Hornell cracks the top 25 after an honorable mention start to the season, largely in part of defeating Pal Mac 41-30 this past weekend. That makes five Section 5 schools ranked in the top 25, most by any section. Needless to say, the S5 dual meet tournament will be a battle.
