First and foremost, we hope that everybody and their families are doing well and being safe during this strange time of our lives. I know most are itching to get their off-season wrestling under way because we all know that summer wrestling makes winter champions.

We are looking forward to covering the NHSCA Duals and Individual tournaments. Per the NHSCA website, those events have been pushed back to late June/Early July. You can also check out which NY Studs have registered and plan on competing at this year's event.

In the meantime, with plenty of time on our hands due to the pandemic, NYWN is heading into our Year In Review series.

Over the next few months, NYWN will recap each section of the state from the highs to the lows and everything in between. On top of the recap, Sectionals rankings will be posted by class and a top 20 pound for pound overall. NYWN will also highlight 10 wrestlers that we expect to breakthrough in 2021 and make the New York State Tournament for the first time.

All returning NYS Place Finishers and qualifiers will be listed as well giving everybody an early in depth look on the strength of each section heading into 2021.

This is a great opportunity to gain some insight, knowledge and perspective on each and every section in the state. Lastly, don't forget to check out our poll question at the end!
